Feed 251 families each week at the Sunday Shelf in Surabaya
The the Sunday Shelf pantry in Surabaya is running low just as demand rises; $450 will stock it for 10 weeks.

Since 2019, our volunteer team has run the Sunday Shelf every Wednesday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 23 families, and now we feed 251 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 46% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 14 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Surabaya market and keep every receipt.
Each $10 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $450 goes:
• Baby formula and diapers: $110
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $250
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $90
Every share and every dollar helps.

Sending love. Great idea, hope you get there. I hope November is when things finally get easier. Love from Marseille.
Praying for you, Budi. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. Thinking of Surabaya
