Landon runs a volunteer pantry feeding 189 families; this fund restocks shelves for the school holidays.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run the Thursday Table every Tuesday from the back of a school canteen. We started with 29 families, and now we feed 189 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 51% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 11 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Christchurch market and keep every receipt.
Each $35 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $2,250 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,200
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $490
• Baby formula and diapers: $380
• Refrigeration and electricity: $180
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.
