Feed 117 families each week at the Second Helping in Mumbai
The the Second Helping pantry in Mumbai is running low just as demand rises; $550 will stock it for 11 weeks.

Since 2022, our volunteer team has run the Second Helping every Tuesday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 25 families, and now we feed 117 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 58% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 15 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Mumbai market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $550 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $310
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $110
• Baby formula and diapers: $45
• Refrigeration and electricity: $85
