Feed 106 families each week at the Thursday Table in The Hague
The the Thursday Table pantry in The Hague is running low just as demand rises; $2,750 will stock it for 10 weeks.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run the Thursday Table every Friday from the back of a school canteen. We started with 13 families, and now we feed 106 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 46% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 15 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the The Hague market and keep every receipt.
Each $50 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $2,750 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $870
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $1,200
• Baby formula and diapers: $390
• Refrigeration and electricity: $290

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Marcel.
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale) comes first ($870) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Ask me anything else.
