Help keep a free food pantry open for elderly neighbors in Badagry.

Since 2022, our volunteer team has run Community Pantry every Sunday from the back of a school canteen. We started with 14 families, and now we feed 104 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 30% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 18 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Badagry market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $450 goes:
• Refrigeration and electricity: $50
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $270
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $130

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. refrigeration and electricity comes first ($50) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. It helps to be asked.
