Ruma, my mother, passed away on 9 September after a short illness. She was 38 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $2,250 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 19 September.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Ruma to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
The funds will be paid directly to the funeral home, and I'll share the receipt.
Where the $2,250 goes:
• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $1,550
• Memorial gathering for the family: $360
• Transport of the deceased: $340

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. cemetery plot and burial fees comes first ($1,550) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Appreciate you taking the time.
