Maricel, my wife, passed away on 9 June after a long fight with kidney disease. She was 43 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $950 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 18 June.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Maricel to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
The funds will be paid directly to the funeral home, and I'll share the receipt.
Where the $950 goes:
• Funeral home services and casket: $720
• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $175
• Transport of the deceased: $30
• Memorial gathering for the family: $25
