Joanna, my wife, passed away on 19 September after a short illness. She was 32 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $2,300 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 3 October. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Joanna to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a local food bank. Where the $2,300 goes: • Funeral home services and casket: $1,500 • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $520 • Transport of the deceased: $145 • Memorial gathering for the family: $135 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support. - Danuta
