Alice, my sister, passed away on 12 January after a road accident. She was 37 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $5,500 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 26 January. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Alice to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to the San Diego hospice. Where the $5,500 goes: • Funeral home services and casket: $4,450 • Transport of the deceased: $590 • Memorial gathering for the family: $460 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
