Evangelia is one semester away from finishing a degree in civil engineering but is blocked from enrolling by an unpaid balance of $1,850.

Evangelia is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a degree in civil engineering at Piraeus State College, and is one semester away from graduating. She has worked as a shop assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,850.
The registrar has said Evangelia can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Evangelia has a distinction average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Evangelia would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Evangelia isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Piraeus State College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $1,850 goes:
• Exam and lab fees: $170
• Textbooks and materials: $140
• Final term tuition: $1,540
Thanks for reading all this.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Evangelia.
It's all in the list in the story. exam and lab fees is the big one at $170, I'll post a receipt when it's paid.
You're not alone, Apostolos. Shared it with a few friends. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend.
Sending love, Apostolos. Good luck with the exams, you've got this. We're a small family in Bogra but we're thinking of you.
