Emergency vet bill for Nala in Kakamega
A rescue greyhound named Nala needs a hospital stay and surgery - a $200 bill the family can't cover.

Nala is my rescue greyhound of eleven years. On 8 January we rushed to the Kakamega Emergency Vet Clinic with pyometra. The vet recommends a hospital stay and surgery, and the estimate came to $200.
They have stabilized Nala, but the treatment can't wait beyond April.
Nala is more than a pet - Nala is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $50 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
Funds will be paid straight to the Kakamega Emergency Vet Clinic and I'll share the invoice and an update on Nala's recovery.
Where the $200 goes:
• Medication and follow-up visits: $65
• Hospitalization (3 nights): $80
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $55
