Emergency vet bill for Finn in Geelong
A German shepherd named Finn needs orthopedic surgery - a $2,200 bill the family can't cover.

Finn is my German shepherd of six years. On 8 September we rushed to the Geelong Emergency Vet Clinic with a ruptured cruciate ligament. The vet recommends orthopedic surgery, and the estimate came to $2,200.
They have stabilized Finn, but the treatment can't wait beyond November.
Finn is more than a pet - Finn is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $360 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
Funds will be paid straight to the Geelong Emergency Vet Clinic and I'll share the invoice and an update on Finn's recovery.
Where the $2,200 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $1,150
• Hospitalization (2 nights): $600
• Medication and follow-up visits: $310
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $140
