Electricity and water shut-off notice: help Silas pay $1,000
A disconnection notice for electricity and water arrived and Silas needs $1,000 before October.

The electricity and water account is 4 months behind. Silas received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on October unless $1,000 is paid. He had never been late before my partner leaving the household.
Silas called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $140 first, which isn't available.
The household includes two young children, and going through the cold months without electricity and water isn't safe. We can't cook, keep medicine cold or heat the home.
Silas is working on getting back on his feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
Every dollar goes to the account in Silas's name; a copy of the paid bill will be shared in the updates.

• Reconnection and late fees: $110
• Down payment on a payment plan: $240

Sure. The biggest one is gas arrears, $650. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Ask me anything else.
