Dustin's final semester of a diploma in hospitality management in Los Angeles
Dustin has worked and saved for three years to study a diploma in hospitality management; a $5,950 gap now stands between him and graduation.

I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a diploma in hospitality management at Los Angeles University, and I'm two terms away from graduating. I have worked as a warehouse packer to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $5,950.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a 3.9 average, and my academic advisor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Los Angeles University bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $5,950 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $2,950
• Final term tuition: $2,400
• Exam and lab fees: $290
• Textbooks and materials: $310
Thanks for being kind about this.
