The heating account is 2 months behind. Serkan received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on August unless $650 is paid. He had never been late before June's medical emergency.
Serkan called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $130 first, which isn't available.
The household includes a disabled brother, and going through the cold months without heating isn't safe. We would also lose the ability to run the medical equipment at home.
Serkan is working on getting back on his feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
