Don't let Mekonnen's family go through winter without electricity
Mekonnen is behind on electricity bills after losing my job in November and needs $100 to avoid a shut-off.

The electricity account is 2 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on February unless I pay $100. I have never been late before losing my job in November.
I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $20 first, which I don't have.
I live with three children under ten, and going through winter without electricity isn't safe. The children would have no light to study by.
I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady.
Every dollar goes to the account in Mekonnen's name; a copy of the paid bill will be shared in the updates.
Where the $100 goes:
• Water arrears: $45
• Reconnection and late fees: $20
• Down payment on a payment plan: $35
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

Hang in there, Mekonnen. I hope things turn around soon. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. All the best
rooting for you. Hope you get there. I have a 14 year old who wants to send good wishes too
Sending love. It takes guts to ask. Well done. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Love from Albany.
So sorry you're going through this, Mekonnen. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My neighbor in Bakersfield donated after I showed her your page. Thinking of Adama.
