Don't let Mary's family go through summer without electricity and water
Help Mary cover an overdue electricity and water bill so the household stays safe this summer.

The electricity and water account is 4 months behind. Mary received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on January unless $150 is paid. She had never been late before my partner leaving the household.
Mary called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $20 first, which isn't available.
The household includes two young children, and going through summer without electricity and water isn't safe. We can't cook, keep medicine cold or heat the home.
Mary is working on getting back on her feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
Where the $150 goes:
• Heating arrears: $85
• Reconnection and late fees: $10
• Down payment on a payment plan: $55
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.
- due date
- 2025-12-02
- bill type
- Utility arrears

Your post was clear and honest. We're a small family in Dublin but we're thinking of you.
Stay strong, Mwangi. Shared it with a few friends. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
how is Mary doing now?
this could happen to any of us. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Thinking of Entebbe.
reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Thinking of Entebbe.
I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. I hope January is when things finally get easier. All the best.
