The water account is 2 months behind. Maria received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on August unless $300 is paid. She had never been late before a reduction in hours.
Maria called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $60 first, which isn't available.
The household includes a newborn, and going through winter without water isn't safe. We would also lose the ability to run the medical equipment at home.
Maria is working on getting back on her feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
