Daniel's final semester of a degree in social work in Badagry
A first-generation student, Daniel needs help covering tuition for the final stretch of a degree in social work.
🇳🇬 Badagry, Lagos, Nigeria1,371 views
Daniel is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a degree in social work at Badagry University, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a library assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $650.
The registrar has said Daniel can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Daniel has a first-class average, and an academic advisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Daniel would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Daniel isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Badagry University bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $650 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $270
• Final term tuition: $300
• Exam and lab fees: $15
• Textbooks and materials: $65
With deep gratitude,
