Dae-hyun is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying an agriculture degree at Gangnam Community College, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a delivery rider to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $3,100. The registrar has said Dae-hyun can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Dae-hyun has a top-ten-percent average, and a department head has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Dae-hyun would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Dae-hyun isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees. Where the $3,100 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $1,000 • Final term tuition: $1,800 • Exam and lab fees: $75 • Textbooks and materials: $225 If you're reading this, thank you.

  1. Good news. Because of your gifts ($2,484 in total) the first invoice got paid this week. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

  2. Thank you all. We're at 31% now ($962). I'm honestly stunned. I met with the university and confirmed the amounts.

  3. 21% there. the plan for final term tuition is now scheduled. Thank you. - Woo-jin
