Bilal's final semester of a degree in civil engineering in Heliopolis
A first-generation student, Bilal needs help covering tuition for the final stretch of a degree in civil engineering.

I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a degree in civil engineering at the Heliopolis Institute of Technology, and I'm one semester away from graduating. I have worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $650.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a top-ten-percent average, and my academic advisor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the the Heliopolis Institute of Technology bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $650 goes:
• Textbooks and materials: $35
• Outstanding tuition balance: $310
• Final term tuition: $305
Thank you so much.

so sorry you're going through this, Bilal. Good luck with the exams, you've got this. Please keep us posted. All the best
good luck. I hope things turn around soon. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Take care.
Sending good thoughts. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. Take care
