Bhavani needs my taxi repaired to get back to work in Varanasi
Bhavani drives for a living in Varanasi, and a broken clutch assembly has stopped all income for 7 weeks.
🇮🇳 Uttar Pradesh, India1,501 views
I make my living with my taxi. 7 weeks ago the clutch assembly failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $250. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my two daughters and my mother. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $250 goes:
• clutch assembly replacement (parts): $110
• Labor charges: $55
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $50
• Towing and inspection: $35
Thanks for being kind about this.

So sorry you're going through this, Bhavani. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Sent it to 39 people at work. Love from Mthatha.
Is there anything that isn't money that would help Bhavani?
praying for you. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. God bless.
Good luck. I hope things turn around soon. It's not much but it's yours.
A colleague of mine might know someone for this in Uttar Pradesh. I'll ask around and let you know!
Hope this works out for you. Put this on a community board in Nagpur this morning. Greetings from Nagpur.
