Bea is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a master's in public health at the Cebu City Institute of Technology, and is one semester away from graduating. She has worked as a tutor to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,000. The registrar has said Bea can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Bea has a first-class average, and a professor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Bea would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Bea isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the the Cebu City Institute of Technology bursar's office.
