Baobab Park needs a youth football pitch - Nicolás's neighborhood project
Volunteers in Córdoba are raising $2,200 for a youth football pitch at Baobab Park.
🇪🇸 Córdoba, Andalusia, Spain2,617 views
For three years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 26 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Baobab Park, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $2,200.
It will serve about 244 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $2,200 goes:
• Materials: $1,800
• Safety equipment and signage: $220
• Tools hire and delivery: $180
Thank you so much.
