Back to business - Luís's comeback in São Paulo
Luís has run a fish stall for fifteen years; a fire in the building destroyed the equipment, and $750 will put it back on its feet.

For fifteen years I have run a fish stall in São Paulo. In December, a fire in the building took a freezer and scales. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Monday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 7 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $750 goes:
• Shop repairs and licensing: $160
• Initial stock: the first catch: $135
• Replacing a freezer and scales: $455
With deep gratitude,
Luís

Sending good thoughts, Luís. I hope things turn around soon. My colleague had a similar thing happen so this one hit home
Hope things get better soon. Shared it with a few friends. Sent it to 23 people at work. Blessings
Good luck. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I'll check back for the next update. Thinking of São Paulo.
