Back on our feet: Suhas and two young children in Aurangabad
After a sudden redundancy, Suhas is raising two young children alone and needs $650 to stay afloat for 6 months.

Since a sudden redundancy in August, I'm now raising two young children on my own. I work as a hairdresser, but my income doesn't cover rent, childcare and groceries.
I'm retraining as a bookkeeper in the evenings, which will triple my income by November, but I need to bridge the gap until then.
Some weeks I skip meals so my children can eat. I have never asked anyone for help like this before, and I'm doing it for them.
Once I finish my course, I'll pay it forward.
Money goes toward rent, groceries, after-school care and the cost of my course. I'll give a monthly update with receipts.
Where the $650 goes:
• Course fees and exam costs: $105
• Rent top-up: $320
• Childcare and after-school care: $225
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

You're not alone, Suhas. Looking forward to the next update. Put this on a community board in Phuket this morning. Take care
Is there anything that isn't money that would help Suhas?
Thank you. If you're in Aurangabad I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Let me know if you want more detail.
Stay strong, Suhas. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. We're a small family in Nairobi but we're thinking of you.
So sorry you're going through this, Suhas. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. All the best
