Back on our feet: Gerald and a toddler and a seven-year-old in Fresno
Gerald and a toddler and a seven-year-old need a bridge to stability after the death of my husband.

After the death of my husband in August, I'm now raising a toddler and a seven-year-old on my own. I work as a retail cashier, but my income doesn't cover rent, childcare and groceries.
I'm retraining as a web developer in the evenings, which will triple my income by December, but I need to bridge the gap until then.
Some weeks I skip meals so my children can eat. I have never asked anyone for help like this before, and I'm doing it for them.
Once I finish my course, I'll pay it forward.
Every cent is accounted for. I'll share a simple monthly breakdown.
Where the $3,800 goes:
• Course fees and exam costs: $900
• Childcare and after-school care: $1,050
• Rent top-up: $1,850
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Gave what I could, wish it was more. Wish I lived closer to Entebbe so I could bring a meal. Blessings.
Hang in there. Your post was clear and honest. Greetings from Jakarta
you're not alone, Gerald. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. All the best.
Good luck, Gerald. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Take care
