Back on our feet: Chidi and a toddler and a seven-year-old in Enugu
After my partner leaving, Chidi is raising a toddler and a seven-year-old alone and needs $500 to stay afloat for 3 months.

After my partner leaving in August, I'm now raising a toddler and a seven-year-old on my own. I work as a cleaner, but my income doesn't cover rent, childcare and groceries.
I'm retraining as a bookkeeper in the evenings, which will triple my income by November, but I need to bridge the gap until then.
Some weeks I skip meals so my children can eat. I have never asked anyone for help like this before, and I'm doing it for them.
Once I finish my course, I'll pay it forward.
Money goes toward rent, groceries, after-school care and the cost of my course. I'll give a monthly update with receipts.
Where the $500 goes:
• Rent top-up: $165
• Childcare and after-school care: $135
• Groceries and school meals: $140
• Course fees and exam costs: $60
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
Updates from Chidi
Small update. $140 so far, I made the first payment toward course fees and exam costs.

hope you get there. I'm in construction myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. All the best
good luck. Shared this with my family. Thinking of Enugu.
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Love from Mekelle.
I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Blessings!
Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Love from Lille.
