An adapted tricycle would give Manikandan independence - we're $1,650 away.

Manikandan lives with profound hearing loss. The occupational therapist at the Thane Mobility Clinic has assessed him and recommended an adapted tricycle. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,650.
His current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 3 weeks.
With the right equipment Manikandan could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $1,650 goes:
• adapted tricycle: $1,550
• Fitting and training sessions: $35
• Delivery and set-up: $15
• First-year servicing plan: $50

Good luck, Kannan. Wishing Manikandan a smooth procedure and a full recovery. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected
