Amanuel received an eviction notice - help us catch up on rent
A divorce left Amanuel short on rent for 4 months; help us stay in our home.

When my hours were cut in half in August, I fell 4 months behind on rent. Last Wednesday a final eviction notice was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $300.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by November, we must leave.
I have a teenager still in school at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working weekend shifts, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $300 goes:
• Rent arrears (4 months): $170
• Late fees and court costs: $25
• Utilities in arrears: $15
• First month of rent as a buffer: $90
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

stay strong, Amanuel. Hope you get there.
Shared it with a few friends. My brother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Take care.
It takes guts to ask. Well done. Put this on a community board in São Paulo this morning. Love from São Paulo.
You're not alone. Looking forward to the next update. Love from Quetta.
Thinking of you and your family, Amanuel. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Thinking of Mekelle.
