ACL reconstruction for Anaïs: covering what insurance won't
After gallstones with repeated infections, Anaïs was cleared for ACL reconstruction, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Anaïs was diagnosed with gallstones with repeated infections in August. The surgeon at Saint-Denis Orthopedic Institute recommended ACL reconstruction, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $6,500, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $4,600 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Saint-Denis Orthopedic Institute since August. The doctors say gallstones with repeated infections will get worse without ACL reconstruction. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $6,500 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Anaïs struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 4 weeks. During that time Anaïs won't be able to climb stairs, so the costs keep growing.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Anaïs.
Sure. The biggest one is post-operative medication, $210. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Good question.
