Abubakar's non-Hodgkin lymphoma treatment fund
Abubakar is facing non-Hodgkin lymphoma and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

In October I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma. My oncology team at Lagos University Hospital has planned 6 rounds of treatment, and the first starts in December. I was told to expect about 10 weeks away from work.
I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. I'm 39, I worked as a bank teller until October, and I have been the main earner for my household.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, transport to Lagos University Hospital 3 times a week, and the income I have lost add up quickly.
My family is doing everything they can, but we've already sold what we could and are borrowing for groceries.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $1,400 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $830
• Scans and lab work: $230
• Transport to Lagos University Hospital: $115
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $90
• Household costs while unable to work: $135
Thank you so much.

Hope it all works out. Looking forward to the next update. Wish I lived closer to Nha Trang so I could bring a meal. Take care.
Praying for you. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. It's not much but it's yours. God bless.
Stay strong. Wishing Abubakar a smooth procedure and a full recovery. I went through something like this 4 years ago and strangers helped me out.
