A youth football pitch for the Unity health centre yard: help our neighbors in Cologne
Volunteers in Cologne are raising $3,400 for a youth football pitch at the Unity health centre yard.
🇩🇪 North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany1,526 views
For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 29 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Unity health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $3,400.
It will serve about 265 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $3,400 goes:
• Materials: $3,000
• Safety equipment and signage: $195
• Tools hire and delivery: $205
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
