Milan
For five years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 9 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Pioneer Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $3,100. It will serve about 464 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $3,100 goes: • Materials: $2,250 • Permits and inspections: $190 • Safety equipment and signage: $310 • Tools hire and delivery: $350 You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it. - Laura
