A youth football pitch for Pioneer Primary School: help our neighbors in Cairo

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 8 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Pioneer Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $400. It will serve about 407 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $400 goes: • Permits and inspections: $30 • Materials: $300 • Tools hire and delivery: $70 Glad we found this place.
