A youth football pitch for Cedar Park: help our neighbors in Obuasi

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 13 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Cedar Park, but no funding. We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $500. It will serve about 497 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $500 goes: • Safety equipment and signage: $60 • Materials: $410 • Permits and inspections: $30 Glad we found this place.
