A youth football pitch: a volunteer-led effort in Leeds
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a youth football pitch - we need $3,650 for materials.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 9 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Union community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $800, and the remaining cost is $3,650.
It will serve about 299 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $3,650 goes:
• Materials: $2,550
• Permits and inspections: $220
• Safety equipment and signage: $370
• Tools hire and delivery: $510
