A youth football pitch: a volunteer-led effort in Kozhikode
A community-led a youth football pitch at the Jacaranda community hall that will serve 430 neighbors.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 12 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Jacaranda community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $350.
It will serve about 430 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
