A skate park for the Unity community hall: help our neighbors in Leeds
Volunteers in Leeds are raising $2,100 for a skate park at the Unity community hall.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 18 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Unity community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $550, and the remaining cost is $2,100.
It will serve about 553 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $2,100 goes:
• Materials: $1,750
• Permits and inspections: $150
• Safety equipment and signage: $200
