A skate park for the old Union bus depot: help our neighbors in București
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a skate park - we need $850 for materials.
🇷🇴 București, Romania2,246 views
For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 21 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Union bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $850.
It will serve about 500 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $850 goes:
• Materials: $560
• Permits and inspections: $55
• Safety equipment and signage: $40
• Tools hire and delivery: $195
