A skate park for the old Baobab bus depot: help our neighbors in Abuja
Volunteers in Abuja are raising $300 for a skate park at the old Baobab bus depot.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 24 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Baobab bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $300.
It will serve about 300 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $300 goes:
• Materials: $220
• Permits and inspections: $15
• Safety equipment and signage: $25
• Tools hire and delivery: $40
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Quick update: $75 raised so far (25%). we've started the first stage. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.
