A skate park for the Jacaranda health centre yard: help our neighbors in Kadıköy
Volunteers in Kadıköy are raising $750 for a skate park at the Jacaranda health centre yard.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 26 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Jacaranda health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $750.
It will serve about 285 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in March and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $750 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $30
• Safety equipment and signage: $55
• Materials: $665
Glad we found this place.

Thinking of you. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I'm in social work myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
