Da Nang
For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 15 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Harmony Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $450. It will serve about 520 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $450 goes: • Materials: $260 • Permits and inspections: $65 • Safety equipment and signage: $75 • Tools hire and delivery: $50 Glad we found this place. - Huy

Thanks for sharing this. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My neighbor in Newcastle donated after I showed her your page.
