I served eight years in the medical corps and was discharged in 2024 with a traumatic brain injury. I have been waiting nine months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a vocational welding course and tools. The quote I have comes to $400.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
I'll post invoices, with personal details hidden.
Where the $400 goes:
• Transport to appointments: $50
• Essential household items: $90
• Training provider fees: $260
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
