I served ten years in the army and was discharged in 2022 with a traumatic brain injury. I have been waiting seven months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a trained service dog and handler course. The quote I have comes to $700.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $700 goes:
• Transport to appointments: $100
• Training provider fees: $240
• Housing deposit and first month: $360
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

thinking of you. Shared it with a few friends. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Kharkiv.
Hang in there, Nadia. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I'll check back for the next update. All the best.
