I served twelve years in the engineering corps and was discharged in 2025 with post-traumatic stress. I have been waiting seven months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a first month of rent and transport to job interviews. The quote I have comes to $700.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
I'll post invoices, with personal details hidden.
Where the $700 goes:
• Housing deposit and first month: $300
• Essential household items: $65
• Training provider fees: $335
Thank you for reading my story.
