I served twelve years in the army and was discharged in 2025 with a back injury. I have been waiting eleven months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment. The quote I have comes to $2,550.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $2,550 goes:
• Transport to appointments: $300
• Training provider fees: $1,850
• Essential household items: $400
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

Can I help in a way that isn't money? I'm near Coventry!
Thank you. If you're in Coventry I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great.
thinking of you, Gabriella. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier.
Wishing you peace, Gabriella. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Blessings.
