A service dog for Comfort, a navy veteran in Zaria
After fourteen years of service, Comfort is raising funds for a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment.

I served fourteen years in the navy and was discharged in 2023 with a service-related knee injury. I have been waiting nine months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment. The quote I have comes to $850.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
I'll post invoices, with personal details hidden.
Where the $850 goes:
• Training provider fees: $350
• Housing deposit and first month: $380
• Transport to appointments: $40
• Essential household items: $80
I hope life is good to you.
