A service dog for Bello, an infantry veteran in Ikeja
An infantry veteran in Ikeja needs help with a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment after leaving service with chronic tinnitus.
🇳🇬 Nigeria500 views
I served four years in the infantry and was discharged in 2023 with chronic tinnitus. I have been waiting nine months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment. The quote I have comes to $600.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $600 goes:
• Transport to appointments: $70
• Essential household items: $55
• Training provider fees: $475
Every share and every dollar helps.

I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Put this on a community board in Tokyo this morning. Thinking of Ikeja.
