A service dog for Akash, a medical corps veteran in Chennai
After ten years of service, Akash is raising funds for a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment.
🇮🇳 Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India1,473 views
Swati served ten years in the medical corps and was discharged in 2023 with a traumatic brain injury. She has been waiting fourteen months for support, and meanwhile is sleeping at a brother's place.
The plan: a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment. The quote comes to $750.
Swati is receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and is committed to recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $750 goes:
• Training provider fees: $390
• Housing deposit and first month: $260
• Transport to appointments: $55
• Essential household items: $45
Thanks for reading all this.
